Another wry humor novel about America's most
loved PI, Dun Wheeling. The third in the series, Castles of Deceit puts
Dun in the middle of another entanglement of mystery, action, and
romance.
A teenage prostitute that barely escapes a
nationwide web of drug and sex slavery, a voluptuous vampiresss more
interested in sex with Dun than his blood, a White House official
suspected of espionage, a non-profit school that will kill to keep its
secrets, mysterious killers out to force Dun off the road--all this as
Dun puts his ass on the line for the President. And
loses.
An excerpt from
Castles of Deceit (not so serious)
As Dun stepped through the door, he stopped
and had to catch his breath. Flowing across the office floor like a
ghost on water was Vanessa. She was dressed in a high-necked collared
gown that seemed to be cut from a soft silky material. Sleeveless, with
the arm openings cut back almost to her neck, it had snaps on one
shoulder and the collar for dressing.
Like her previous dress, it was all white, with a long
slit running down the outside of her right leg. And as before, it fit
like cling wrap on top and flared just a little below the knee. In the
front, a long upside-down V opening began below her throat and extended
down slightly below her breast line, stopping in a wide scalloped edge
the bottom. It was just wide enough to enhance the image of her more
than ample cleavage. He was afraid to see what the back of the dress
covered, but couldn't wait to find out.
..... And he found out what the back of her
dress covered--not much. But what it did cover looked wonderful when it
moved.
An excerpt on the serious
side
The other car was suddenly right on his tail.
While it didn't look it from a distance, the car behind him was
apparently built for street racing. As Dun glanced out the rear window,
he noticed the large air scoop on the engine hood. Not a good sign when
you're trying to escape in a stock Camry.....
He was trying to decide what to do next when a
bullet smashed through his rear window and ripped into the dash just to
his right....
As you can see, Dun is right up to his armpits in
trouble again, and forced to deal with women out to snare him into their
web of seduction.
